You can agree to this paraphrase and complement the attribute ´refreshing´. X. Caféine offers a catchy and brisk potpourri of the mentioned styles. On ´Gisele´, his fourth Longplayer, the artist from Quebec offers hits which will find their lovers also in the local Indieclubs. With catchy melodies and refrains Caféine shows his ear-candy-writing qualities, although he said he does not want to write hits. He even doesn´t have to, but he did and this is good. So already with the second track ´1-2-3-4´ you have to be a slave of the rhythm, which continues throughout the album - apart from In and Outro or the piano piece ´ Erik Satie ´. With ´Giséle´ Caféine does not try to invent the wheel anew, but delivers a work very much closed in itself, as if he had written it in one piece. It seems that it had simply bubbled out of him. The young musician has his musical roots in punkmusic, notably apparent with ´Babylone´ and ´OK! ´. In general you have to say: ´ Caféine rocks! ´ and animates to dance.
