Powers Court promise aggressive Power Metal a la Iced Earth, Nevermore or King Diamond. And correspondingly you can hear a sinister intro, and after the first 84 seconds have passed, the pleasant anticipation is soon muffled. Besides the rather average production the vocals of mastermind Danie Powers are a disappointment. Unfortunately he sounds too thin, overcharged with too many effects and way too high out of the speakers. What a pity, because songwriting and arrangements are quite appealing. With a good producer this CD could have been something, but The Red Mist of Endenmore is something only for die-hard fans of American steel.
