Whoever gets his/her hands on the newest solo album from ex-Traceelords front man / ex-Sodom guitarist will be completely surprised. The depressed – looking young man with torn jeans and hands folded in prayer sits on the front of the cover, like an emo – version of the Andy Brings that we know. Luckily one should never judge a book by its cover, because the contest of the album –which is definitely not depressive emo-music- is such a relief. The album, Rock ‘n Roll, is whole as an album and more Pop and less Punk-Rock. Whether or not it is bad or not, it’s for each to decide for him/herself. The tracks are catchy and their lyrics go from cheeky to emotional and only the last track, “Not That Kind of Man” is not sung in German. As far as the genre goes, it lies somewhere within the boundaries of German Pop and German Rock. The fans of his guitar work are not left unsatisfied either. All in all, those, who are into the not serious German Pop/Rock should give it a go!
