For some time, things have been a bit quiet for the Thrash Metal veterans of DARKFALL but now they are back louder than ever before. Led by two heroes of the Austrian metal scene –Thomas Spiwak (voc.) and Sascha Ulm (guit.) – the five boys from Graz deliver good old Thrash Metal and one thing is clear from the start: when you buy DARKFALL, you will get DARKFALL!

Featuring Stephan Stockreiter (guit.), Markus Seethaler (bass) and Thomas Kern (drums), DARKFALL stands for catchy and uncomplicated Thrash/Death Metal presented with the same enthusiasm you can find at their gigs.

After the intro called Road to Redemption, Misery of Peace starts with fulminating blast beats before the melodic aspect of the mostly mid-tempo song comes through. Like almost any other song on this record, Misery of Peace has the quality to become a real neck breaker and I´m already looking forward to one of their release shows. Song number three, War Has Come, is slower but the rhythm immediately makes me headbang in front of my computer. After listening to Fading Away, the place next to KREATOR in my very own Thrash Metal corner definitely goes to DARKFALL. But I have to admit that they cannot be compared to any ´bigger´ international band. DARKFALL are DARKFALL - that´s it and the 5th track Phoenix Rising supports this statement.

Road to Redemption is not a boring album at all. All 11 tracks are impressive, especially Kill the Need MMXIII with its orchestral and piano components. DARKFALL / ROAD TO REDEMTION on NOISEHEADRECORDS, check it out NOW!
