All Hallows Eve is the project of Tom O´Connell and ranges somewhere between classic Gothic Rock and Wave. Already at the beginning it becomes clear that it is a dark-romantic-theatrical-piece - epic music not exactly easy to listen to. Gothic masters like Myk Jung (The Fair Sex), Marion Küchenmeister (Invisible Limits) or Ashley Dayour (Whispers in the Shadow) have all contributed their share on All Hallows Eve´s first record. The title “The Dreaming” is a very good description for the whole record. It is very dreamy, enlaced in different languages and very diverse; most of the songs, though, are very heavy and gloomy. Although, the music as such is not really my cup of tea, Tom O´Connell did manage to make the songs sound harmonic and nice, complementing each other. And also all singers on the record sound equally good - whether it is because they know their craft or the sound mixer did an excellent job, I cannot say for sure. All in all, it´s a beautiful piece of work - just a bit heavy and melancholic.
