Accept are back with full force! Their comeback album, Blood Of The Nations, garnered critical acclaim from fans, media and musicians. Also, the slightly weaker Stalingrad was one of the best albums released in 2012. Now, Accept unleash their Blind Rage, outdoing even their 2010 comeback album. Although the album title suggests otherwise, Blind Rage is not a relentless Speed Metal attack. Even though the well-done opener, Stampede, is actually quite fast, most other songs are more or less midtempo. The following Dying Breed (actually the album´s best track), Dark Side Of My Heart and Fall Of An Empire are all medium fast, based on great melodies and extremely well-done. The second half of the album is, however, not as great as the first and also contains the only weak track (Bloodbath Mastermind). But, there is also a hidden gem called From The Ashes We Rise. I only hope that Accept are not, as one of their songs, a dying breed because in their current, excellent form they can dominate the scene for many years!
