Something new from Switzerland, and this time it´s not about cheese. Felskinn surprise with quite heavy riffs and their mixture of Stoner Rock, New Metal and Krokus- or AC/DC elements. Well, it´s a bit like old Guano Apes, but with a guy singing. The quartet - Andy Portmann, voc, Stefan Schroff, git, Sarah Zaugg, bass, and Flavio Mezzodi, dr – deliver here a quite remarkable debut. Sometimes the clean vocals don´t work out that well, it seems that Andy´s voice is much better for a rough style – and then he manages to leave you speechless with a great ballad like “Later”. So he CAN sing clean, and how nicely! Something to be played on radio, which is meant as a compliment here... “Lost My Head” is another great song with a memorable guitar part. A band with high potential, check them out.
