So finally the latest effort of David Lee Roth, which used to be exclusively available in the States, has now been released in Europe as well. Well, after a first listening session, you know why. There’s hardly anything left of the days when Diamond Dave fronted Van Halen and also from those extraordinary solo albums like “Eat ‘em and smile” or “A lil’ ain’t enough”. Instead of some good hard rocking fun the self-proclaimed diamond tries to please the listener with some cheesy swinging songs, which are stolen from other artist like Hendrix or the Beatles. This won’t last long. Sometimes, you should know when it’s better to quit.
