If it says punk rock on the box, you would expect punk rock inside, right? The Explosion present their third album, this time produced by a major label. Whether because of the change in production or the natural developement of the band - it's not pure punk rock, it's not Explosion, but quite digestible. Besides pop, you can discern some alternative rock, which is absolutely ok. And in my opinion „No Revolution“ is not an inaccurate description. Perhaps every decade gets the punk rock it deserves? In any case, Black Tape sounds like success.
