Even though the Finns are comparably unknown in Germany, they are everything else than newcomers. Formed in 1996, they are playing heavy thrash metal for 12 years now. In their home country they’ve already achieved high chart positions, which might be because of their Finnish lyrics. However, on their new album “Raja” the guys present again a big load of thrash metal. The first two tracks are really storming your ears, before the speed is reduced to get a little bit more groove into the music. Thereafter the tempo is raised again with the strong “Lääke” which is a real neck breaker. But after that one, I really get the feeling that many things are being repeated, that I have heard most of the ideas on the tracks before. But in fact, it is impossible to invent a new style with every new song... All in all, I have to say that the guys have recorded one of the most versatile thrash metal albums of the last years. There is just a small minus with the sound, which is all in all okay, but there could’ve been little bit more pressure with the guitars.
