Music from Norway, what could that be? No, you are wrong! Well, Stigma from Trondheim might use the orchestral aspect of Black Metal, but otherwise the term "gothic" seems to be more suitable, in order to describe the melancholy, the clean memorable (male) voice and loans from classical music, Doom, Prog and Pop. A track like "Sunday" even seems to be from Renaissance era... what else could I say, with their fifth album Stig Rune Robertson (git, voc, drums, programming) and Endre Hindhammer (bass, backing voc) - plus guest musicians - created a real masterpiece. It´s a concept album, the tracks overlap and describe a week in the life of a working class hero... songs like "Inside Of Me" or "The End (Of The Road)" are simply great, therefore this CD will definitely be one on heavy rotation in my CD player in the future... buy it!
