Enemy Of The Sun, one of many bands of Waldemar Sorychta, just released a really ambivalent album. Partially it sounds really great, especially when Shadows reminds the audience on System Of a Down, like the second track Burning Bridges. But their songs are not nearly as extreme as it is the case with SoaD. The album sometimes gives the impression of superficiality and has a lack of profundness. The reason could be, that it´s one of Sorychtas babies, who composed and produced the whole thing, which disqualifies the band from being classified as a ”garage band”.
Behind the mic stands the singer of Profane Omen, the Finn Jules Näveri. His vocals lift the album up, as his singing is diverse and safe in deep grunts as well as high clear parts and does a really good job in Enemy Of The Sun. Hopefully we get the chance to eye them up live.
