It took the Swedes three long years to finish the successor of their 2006 hit album "Termination Bliss", including several production breaks because of touring duties. If you got the chance to support bands like Korn and Cradle of Filth, you better take it. But now the work is finally done and it was definitely worth the waiting.
"Night Electric Night" unites the catchiness of "Termination Bliss" and the metal touch of "Synthetic Generation" to a highly seductive mixture of Rock, Metal, Glam, Goth and pop, you hardly can resist. Apart from "Death dies hard", pre-released as web-single and already stuck in ears and clubs, there are many other catchy tunes like "The Mark of the Gun" or the title-given track "Night Electric Night". Whiplasher´s voice is pure sex and there`s no denying a highly erotic touch through the whole CD. Also the stunning artwork is a feast for the eyes.
But the heart is "Via the End", an unfamiliar fragile, deeply touching ballad, the most personal song in the bands history. The song is dedicated to Jon Nödtveit (the singer of Dissection and brother of guitarist and songwriter Nightmare Industries), who died two years ago. A piano version of that song can be found on the Ltd. Gold Edition, which also includes a DVD with all videos and making-ofs and different artwork.
