The title of this record says it all: These recordings are from 1977. That time Thin Lizzy did their first headline tour through the US. They already played immortal hits like `Boys are back in Town`, `Soldier of Fortune` and `Me and the boys`. The sound quality of those 10 songs is surprisingly quite good, the booklet is a bit thin, but has some nice shots to offer.
So far, so good. It is a pity that the running time is comparibly short. And also I have to question the purpose of such a record. Is it because of historical reasons really necessary or is it just an attempt to make quick money?
Fans of Thin Lizzy will not doubt it for any second. All others should listen to it first and then decide for themselves.
