Devin Townsend has this weird ´professor´ image also because you never know what strange noise he creates next. After the end of Strapping Young Lad, the process towards ´Ki´ was obvious. Now it has become reality: The days, when Devin Townsend was called ´Heavy-Devy´ are finally over! After several personal problems that he overcame, it seems that Devin has finally found his freedom of soul. He found a group of experienced musicians, who have nothing in common with Metal music. And that`s the same with ``Ki``. It basically consists of acoustic instruments and whispered vocals and it spreads a psychodelic atmosphere.
By the way: ``Ki`` is the first of 4-album-cycle. Devin also plans to present them live, but only a few shows after all 4 albums have been released.
