StrommoussHeld is a highly talented Industrial Metal band from Poland with a specific atmosphere of sound, but a little too less demonstration of existence. Already founded in 1999, they published four years later their first album which got great reviews in European magazines. One year later followed an EP and a lot of concerts inclusive a show at the Castle Party… and then a break until now. Long time no hear about this band which already has played on the same stage with bands like Samael, Opeth or Anathema and this year joined two concerts at the Hellhounds Fest Tour with Tiamat, the 69 Eyes and Ava Inferi. Now with this brand-new single which is free for download they announce the forthcoming release of their full length album in the next year.

Industrial Metal is a genre the band with the strange name easily is able to blow up, because from beginning on they were able to develop their own cosmos of tune. A melancholic piano opens the gate to enter the new release. In this muted mood the drums break straight through and a hoarse voice recites growling till the guitar part creates with a kind of oriental solo a landscape of continuing metal hardness. Programming is mixed with real drumming and real string music. “Long Ago Gone” might be an allusion to the long absence of the band? A fat bass makes “Connective Tissue” from beginning on shake and feeds with its loops a powerful body, nevertheless it works more like an intermezzo leading forward to “We Are Time” – this is an extraordinary piece of superb, memorable dark metal. The vocal part of Maels Strommö reminds a bit of Pink Floyds “The Wall”-pathos, instrumentally located inside of a gloomy soundtrack to a computer-animated, apocalyptic choreography.

It is usually a point of interest to discover the cultural and geographical roots for example Eastern origin and the mental climate. StrommoussHeld comes from Poland, but sounds like an international band. Not because they sing in English their vibe exceeds local or musical boarders and awakes the appetite for the – hopefully soon - arising album.
