Terry “Geezer” Butler,the man responsible for the pumping bass lines of veterans Black Sabbath, seems to have had some energy left after the band's reunion. So he did a solo project, GZR with "Ohmwork", which leans partly on modern metal and partly on timeless metal. After the 1997 release "Black Science" the issues of religion, politics and existence in general are dealt with once again on "Ohmwork". The ten compositions are dark and aggressive, full of heavy guitars and the strong voice of singer Clark Brown. There is a premiere on "I Believe", the first collaboration of Geezer and his son Biff, who actually sings a part. All in all not much of the album sticks in your mind and it could have done without the spoken singing. To each his own...
