The Rock Band Ralph & the therapists from Bern, CH, was founded in 2003 and after 7 years of being a cover band they decided to write their own songs and release them now on their debut “Angel Cry”. The four rockers show that they can do more than covering songs,and right from the start with „Café Racer“ you hear a rough male Rock voice that has this Rock appeal. „You won’t Break it“ is a nice ballad with catchy guitar tune, and also singer Ralph´s voice convinces right away, the cocky roghness is gone. Unfortunately the album is overall a bit one-dimensional because song tempos and vocal lines are very similar, only two songs differ from the rest: the already mentioned „You won’t Break it“ and the faster „Angels cry“. But Ralph & the therapists will surely convince their fans with their own compositions, solid Rock in a raw version, straight forward without any knick-knack.
