Kimball & Jamison combines for the first time, two of the most characteristic voices of melodic rock. On the one hand Bobby Kimball, who is known as one of the founding members of Toto, and Jimi Jamison, singer of the band Survivor, who had their breakthrough with the hit „Eye of the Tiger“ in 1989. Songs like "Hold the Line", "White Sister", "English Eyes", "Goodbye Elenore", "Rosanna", "Is This Love", "Burning Heart", "The Search Is Over", "High on You", "I Can´t Hold Back" of both bands are still not forgotten today, the same is true also for the two singers.
Nowadays, however, both are mainly focussed on their solo projects but still they could be persuaded into doing a record together, not least because of their year-long friendship with each other. Songwriters like Richard Page (Mr Mister), Jim Peterik (Survivor), Randy Goodrum (Steve Perry, Toto), John Waite, Erik Martensson (W.E.T.) and Robert Sall (Work of Art) got together to write songs for the two vocal talents. The end result, which is now in my hands, was put on a silver disc by none other than German bassist and producer Mat Sinner. Twelve melodic rock anthems await the listener, fan or collector, on which both singers are equally represented and harmonise perfectly with each other. A great record and an absolute must-have for all rock aficionados.
