Die Schwarzen Ladas have just released their first album and are now working on the second. Udo, Karsten and Volker do their best to return Progressive Rock to the wider public, and with a twist. Those Finns pretend to be Germans, including German names and a German band name, and why you can read in the STALKER interview. Advantages they could get out of their popularity in Finland (with their real names) are not wanted and they refuse over-produced songs, everything was created spontaneously in the studio. Their debut „Wahrheit“ has a lot to offer: five songs, „Fehler“ the longest with 16:00 min with German vocals, which adds a certain appeal. The compositions or better jam-sessions seem to be cool and relaxed and maintain their appeal despite their length. You could draw parallels between early Prog-Stars like Jethro Tull, Yes and Pink Floyd, and I think Volker has a much better voice than the singers of the first mentioned bands. „Wahrheit“ offers 5 sophisticated songs that are not boring at all.
