Actually the album “Dayphobia“ had been released already last October, yet only as a digital download. Now the debut album of the young Austrian gets released also in physical form. Dorota could unite some of the biggest names in the rock business on her album, for example Lard Rettkowitz of Freedom Call, who was responsible for the final product. For the song “Noora”, a collaboration with the Dutch-Finnish band Tornado, they even travelled up North to the Abyss Studio, where the song got recorded by Peter Tägtgren. I honestly have to say that I am a little bit disappointed about the fact that particularly this guy seems to do all kinds of music nowadays, no matter how bad it is. “Dayphobia” is maybe not that bad but musically as well as vocal-wise, it is just below average. There´s much worse for sure, but especially the title track borders on pain (at least for me). Musically it´s just too dreary and boring. But eventually everybody needs to decide for him/herself.
