Actually poppy Punk Rock with some Hardrock influences is neither my cup of tea, nor my field of work in the Stalker team. But, nevertheless, I take on this new solo album of Matt Skiba for reviewing because, simply put, I like it from the first seconds on. Especially the warm voice of Matt Skiba, who is better known as the vocalist of Alkaline Trio, makes it unique.
This is, however, the weak point of many other releases in this genre. But Mr. Skiba knows about his great voice, so he even dares to record an acoustic ballade called `Angel of Deaf`. Along with the opener `Voices` it is the highlight of this solo album. So, those who don`t hesitate to try something new, should check out this one. I was positively surprised.
