The Swiss answer to AC/DC is back after two years of record abstinence, with a new album. It is called “Dirty Dynamite”and, as the band itself says, it´s the best record of the new Krokus era. After numerous fights and line-up changes, they are back with the original line-up and got Mandy Meyer (ex-Gotthard) as a support for the guitar team. The band worked for a long time on this record, not in their home country but at the legendary Abbey Road studios in London. Band founder Chris von Rohr again did the production job. The man, who in countless Swiss casting shows, asks for “more dirt” in the participants´ voices, knows how to get more dirt into his own music! And this is how, in co-operation with the other band members, an album came into being that´s fun to listen to! After almost 40 years of band history and rockbiz experience, the listener has high expectations of one of the most famous Swiss exports and I can tell you, they always get fulfilled. “Dirty Dynamite” features 12 mainly fast rock songs in the good old Krokus manner but there is also one or the other slow song like “Hurt”. What more could you wish for, the album has everything the rocker heart is asking for: awesome guitar riffs, nice melodies, headbanger beats and emotional lyrics, varied and just the right mixture to be a true masterpiece.
