During the last years, we have really gotten used to see the names Alex Beyrodt and Mat Sinner associated with almost every second German Hard Rock production. That those two guys also joined their forces can only be called divine providence. Both are magnificent musicians and songwriters. Together with David Readman, Markus Kullmann and Jimmy Kresic they are, since 2009, the successful Classic Hard Rock Band Voodoo Circle, which brought two awesome record to the market, full of guitar-heavy songs and the rocky, bluesy vocal inputs from Readman. The third record, which hit the stores this February, bears the name “More than one way home” and promises one more time, right from the beginning, to be an awesome album.
Compared to the previous album, David Readman shows even a bit more of his vocal range this time - at least in the studio it works pretty well - and finds the right pitch for every song. The compositions are maybe all a bit similar but they are definitely not boring. Here are pros working, who apparently have loads of fun playing their guitars. Once more a solid record from Voodoo Circle without any surprises, though. Simply a record that was expected from them, in exactly that form.
