When I saw those guys from Seinäjoki first at PRKL club as support of Hanging Garden and Sons of Aeon (see our report), I had noticed that they probably like Entombed – even before I spotted the singer´s t-shirt... And because I like Entombed, too, I can enjoy this debut album which provides Old School Death Metal with groove. And do not misunderstand me here, I am not suggesting that the band is copying their idols – they just pay them some tribute, but do their own thing. Some songs, e.g. Death Master, rather reminds me of 80s Thrash Metal; ”Massmurderer” and ”The Witch Of Horror” stick out as well, the latter because of its epic qualities. In my opinion a good mixture of various Old School elements works so much better than e.g. a blast beat marathon... Well, this CD has not quite convinced me a 100% yet, but this is definitely a good band to keep an eye (and ear) on.
