Oh my God! This is exactly what I really needed. The third output of those Alaska-Screamo-heroes 36 Crazyfists titled „Rest Inside The Flames“ fires off indeed. Singer Brock Lindow cannot sing better, there´s nothing to top that; when he shouts your castles-in-the-air collapse, when he sings even Godzilla cannot help crying rivers. Straight guitar sound, drums as they should be, only the bass seems to be just a replacement for bass drums. This record definitely takes 36 Crazyfists finally out of the shadows of bands like Killswitch Engage or Hatebreed. They continue what Finch have started and take the so-called Metalcore to perfection. Melodious guitars and a lot of shouting don´t create a good song, you need innovation, a courageous glimpse into other areas. This is what this band presents with „Rest Inside The Flames“ with some malicious glee. Yes, indeed, this is exactly as it´s supposed to be.
