Those, who expect music in the style of Deathstars or Marilyn Manson after a look at the cover picture, will be disappointed after inserting the disc. The EP “The Outsiders” is the forth opus of the quintet and shall give a foretaste of the coming album. The three songs are altogether made up in classic Heavy Metal style, which is mixed up with the one or other Electro-swab. While the composition and the instrumentation of the songs, which sound very similar, are able to please, bandleader David´s singing mostly seems to thin and powerless to prevail over the powerful riffs. Especially in the title track this deficiency becomes very obvious. Not everything AC/DC does also functions in other bands. But nevertheless the Austrians offer respectable metal with a catchy character, that seems kind of conservative on the record, but could fulfil its full impact on stage.
