Rock with cross references to red, hot chili dishes is what the German band Subsonic delivers. Or at least that’s what they claim, because the material doesn’t really capture the listener. It’s too dull and the guitars and drums lack drive, so that none of the eleven songs really stick in your mind. The rapping doesn’t help to make the whole more interesting, since the fire that is needed to bridge the gap between crossover and independent, is utterly lacking in this case. "Do you feel da grrrrroove?" – No.
