Another re-release of those 80s Thrash Metal heroes from New York, the follow-up from 1989 to the “World Circus” album. The line-up was changed a bit, with John Donnelly another guitarist was added, and the new singer Charles Sabin did not really reach eunuch-pitch and therefore sounds much more like my taste. Basically “Think This” has much more complex, sophisticated tracks and offers more variety, it rather reminds of Voivod than Accept. The band obviously tested their limits with Prog Thrash and experimented with softer sounds (“There Stood A Fence”), they are very likely to be Meshuggah´s predecessors and still sound modern, no way you could realize the age of this album. Great songs like the title track or “Spontaneous” still kick ass. But those five bonus tracks (live, instrumental) are a bit too rough for modern audiences, and perhaps just for experts. Still, check it out!
