Although I might be repeating myself: This is definitely a CD for Black Metal purists who consider the slightest technical improvement – e. g. that the guitar does not sound like a broken vacuum cleaner, but indeed like a guitar – a betrayal of genre rules, commercialism and sell-out.
The Australian band Striborg – or better, a one-man-project as a certain Sin-Nanna plays all instruments – go a step further to avoid any commercial path: „No contact. No interviews“. Well, despite the sound and too much effect on the voice this act has some nice epic songs and sinister atmoshpere, this is why I can recommend it also to genre fans of a less puristic attitude.
