Helsinki 10 p.m. the blow-dry hairstyle is perfect. This time we have ourselves taken back in time to the 80’s to enjoy the sounds of real rock inside the On The Rocks, a rock bar only a stone’s throw away from the central railway station in Helsinki.

Urban Tale kicked off the concert. The band is not yet known and thus not many people had found their way to the club. But with their hard rock they already put us in the right mood for the next band. Songs like “Don’t You Know?” and “Still Strong” are made to sing along and slowly the club filled with people who were probably mainly here for Brother Firetribe.

About 11 p.m. the light was dimmed in the basement and the charming gentlemen of Brother Firetribe entered the stage. The hearts of some girls were beating a little faster when singer Pekka Heino and Emppu Vuorinen put on their sweetest smiles and flirted with the girls.

From songs like “Midnight Queen” and “Valerie” to “Devil’s Daughter” and the new hit song “I Am Rock” they played a broad range of first class, awesome rock songs and the fans celebrated their heroes in the tiny venue. Also the people on the balcony rocked with the band amongst others the Nightwish crew with their new singer Anette Olzon, who seemed to really like this concert reminiscing the 80’s. However, I’ve seen Pekka performing on better vocal form and so he didn’t carry some tunes as long as usually but he’s still a great singer with an impressive voice.

His band mate Jason visibly enjoyed how the crowd was singing along and how they were under the band’s spell. It’s always a joy to hear this kind of music and so I can only say: Let’s Rock Forever. A brilliant concert which put you right back to the 80’s. The crowd was going crazy and celebrated with the band. The only downside was that it was over way too soon and they only played one encore.
