Well, again I´m too late, but every time you intend to leave from work earlier it ends like this: I only manage to see the final two songs of Old School Metallers Pharao from Berlin.
Evidence One This not quite unknown band is also from Germany, and I can say – wow, there´s indeed a lot of action on stage that you have to see. Those guys play clean Hard Rock/ Melodic Metal, excellent indeed, and their front man Lizard has a quite impressive voice. It is pure fun to watch them and to listen to their great sound.
Saxon Finally they are on stage – Saxon, a living legend. And I think you can claim that, as this band has been around for about 30 years. Their focal point is a pure British gentleman, Peter „Biff“ Byford. They start with „State of Grace“ and „Let me feel your power“, letting the audience indeed feel the power of heavy guitar riffs and a great voice that impresses with its masculinity. You can still learn a lot from those guys, musically or vocally – and how to stage a great show. Still there is a lot of harmony on stage, some magic that touches all people in the crowd. And it doesn´t matter how often you´ve already seen them live, you´ll be impressed every time. There is something for everybody, „Heavy Metal Thunder“, „I`ve got to Rock“ or „Princess“. Biff and his guys show no exhaustion, because they come back more often than once with some more encores. Hats off, and please keep at it!
