Again Kreator are storming European venues. They were touring across Europe for almost 3 months before they finally arrived in homelands again by the middle of march. Kreator even dare to play 3 concerts in this region (Cologne, Osnabruck and Oberhausen) Before the tour, I was a bit scared about the package, but without a reason, as I found out.

Right at TV prime time, Emergency Gate are storming the stage. From he first second onwards, you can see that the guys from southern Germany have really used this tour to watch and learn. So they have become a tight playing unit, motivated to give everything; especially vocalist Mathias Kupka, who always communicates with the audience and poses like hell. A very well beginning!

Now it is up to the only non-Germans Eluveitie from Switzerland. They played this tour without their own guitar player, so the guitar players of Caliban, Marc and Denis, as well as the sound engineer and the merchandise man supported the band. I was really worried if the band could win the audience with their folky sound. But what they delivered was a real sonic beatdown! Today drums and guitars are king, the acoustic instruments are only fillers. Most attendees like it and so Eluveitie should haven won some new fans. Including me!

Until now, this evening was a real 10: good sound, the bands are motivated like hell and the crowd is fantastic. But now Caliban are coming and it seems that most metalheads do have a problem with their Metalcore, many leave the venue. On one hand, this is better because circle pit and wall of death really need space so that nobody is being injured. But on the other hand Caliban are motivated and hot, so they would deserve a bigger audience.

Finally Kreator are entering the stage and one thing is for sure: Kreator are nowadays the center of the new Thrash Metal scene, which rose up like Phoenix from the Ashes. No thrash without Kreator! The show today with its used beamer is similar to the one of last Wacken Open air. The setlist covers all periods of the band (except the ``Endorama`` time). The reactions are vivid, but the long and exhausting evening has an effect on the audience. So the reactions are becoming weaker as the concerts advances. Also Kreator appear a bit exhausted today. Is it the tribute to 3 months of touring?
Nevertheless it was a nice evening, which was enriched by the opening acts. So not many things missed to reach the top grade.
