May 15th 2005 was the big day! Hamburg had to wait for them for a long time. Now they are here and have a new record with them. Already at half past seven a huge group of waiting people had gathered in front of the Molotov in Hamburg. The entrance was at 9 p.m. Yes, one has been waiting for them for a very long time.
At 10 p.m. they finally hit the small stage. The Emils not only came here with their new album “The Southern Comfort” but also with a new sticksman by the name of Fab on board. He played as if he were already with them for ages and was not a tittle less enthusiastic than the others although he had to toil with a nasty cold. The fans appreciated that and also the engagement of the other four. From the first to the last song the crowd was in an astonishing mass movement, plain dancing was impossible. The ones who weren´t close to a wall were inevitably carried along. Even the equipment couldn´t withstand the fans and so at times the monitor boxes moved with the crowd. The room, the fans, the band - everything was glowing because the Emil Bulls knew how to convince with both old and also their new songs. The new album is described as aggressive but at the same time exuberant. This fits exactly to the performance.
