The first gig after a longer summer break is always something special for me, and tonight the stage belongs to The Order. This Swiss Hardrock Band just released their new album „1986“ which also entered Swiss charts at nro 44.
In familial atmosphere, the concert started a bit late, without opener it´s a long time until 21.30h. Yet the Galery has plenty of seats and you can have some nice food to eat. There´s another aspect, some people have to catch the last train, which requires a 20min walk to the railway station. And not so many people have arrived punctually, the crowd also rather kept a safe distance to the stage, until singer Gianni tells them to come closer. The band plays 2 sets this evening, one setlist combines old and new songs, the other is mostly dedicated to the new „1986“ material.
Guitarrist Bruno Spring, who can hardly keep his fingers still between the songs, and bass player Andrej Abplanalp perform a duel, until you hear a „that´s enough“ from Andrej. The overall impression of this gig is rather a rehearsal in front of friends, and it seems that the band and the audience as well have a lot of fun. Singer Gianni once again takes to the stage like a duck to water and enchants the audience.
Naturally a release party has to involve the launching ceremony on stage, which is done by producer V.O.Pulver (Gurd), who pours a shot (Jägermeister) on the CD, only to carefully lick it off afterwards, so that no drop of this precious liquid is lost ... what a show, indeed a lot of fun. And the audience gladly joins in when it comes to singing along or dancing around. A great evening with great music.
