The Rock´n´Roll Warehouse was filled right from the start despite the weird mixture of musical styles, and the audience appeared quite open, tolerant and in a great mood, therefore it was going to be an interesting concert evening.
First the Performance Act Toxic Shock Syndrome - a mix of Darkroom + Elektro + Punk - and also Industrial-Rockers Philiae from Hamburg presented a good show.
Who was not quite into this kind of music had a chance to browse CDs in the foyer of the venue.
When the Skreppers entered the stage late at night, in their usual bizarre outfits, the audience was about to see an excellent show. Singer Hiili Hiilesma, looking a bit like Jello Biafra dressed in a black Latex-Overall and wearing high-heels, conquered the 4x2m stage and entertained the audience in psychedelic-weird manner.
A new guy on guitar named Pax Roman - who looked a bit like Addams Family´s Uncle Vester - completed this Rock´n´Roll cirkus, which indeed deserved this definiton.
Musically the 5 guys presented a mix of their 3 albums, focusing on their calmer songs that had hardly been present in earlier Skreppers Gigs.
Unusual was their choice of the opener, the beautiful melancholic Wildweed (Call Of The Trash), for an 1h set taking you on an emotional rollercoaster, including hits like Dog I Wanna Be Your Bone or No Love from the first Album Hedonist Hellcats, concluding with the encore El Bimbo Ist Ein Mann.
