Clorox Girls: Whorehouses and bratwursts
The Clorox Girls have come to once again wreak havoc in Europe. This time the guys from Portland brought their new record “J`aime les filles” with them. What you can expect is 70`s style punk with rock`n`roll influences a la Buddy Holly and Chuck Berry. Be prepared! In the interview singer and guitarist Justin Maurer talks about their original band name, why there are so many French influences on the album and why selling kebabs can be a lucrative job. >> more/mehr

Cloven Hoof: Stay away from the occult!
Once upon a time, in the legendary 80s, there was the even more legendary label Neat Records - featuring Venom... one of their label mates from back then were a.o. the Brits Cloven Hoof, nowadays probably rather labelled Old School Metal, but their progressive approach definitely helped to pave the way for the more complex version of thrash metal. In 1990 it was over. But let´s leave the past behind, Cloven Hoof are back and give a quite optimistic outlook on the future with their new release "The Definitive Part One". And STALKER wanted to know more from Lee Payne, eloquent mastermind of the band and student of black magic. >> more/mehr

Coheed and Cambria: Eating, Sleeping and Playing Music
In their home country, the US, the guys of Coheed and Cambria are already a big name, in mainland Europe, though, it´s not panning out for them just yet. And that even though, the band doesn´t only have euphoria-, ass-shake-inducing but most of all professionally played prog rock music to offer – a whole science fiction saga, available in comic format, is only waiting to be discovered as well. Before their support gig for the Deftones in Cologne, STALKER met drummer Chris Pennie (ex-Dillinger Escape Plan) who made his official debut on the band´s new album Year of the Black Rainbow. Being the really nice guy that he is, he went to great pains to answer all curious questions about the new album, the backgrounds to the story, life on tour and, on top of it, even eliminated a few preconceptions about those guys behind the kit. >> more/mehr

Coheed and Cambria: Creative Minds are Always Creating
With the return of drummer Josh Eppard last year, Coheed and Cambria are almost back in their original line-up. No surprise then that the new album The Afterman: Ascension, which was released in October, sounds a bit like back-to-the-roots. We met Josh before the band´s gig at the Grünspan in Hamburg. >> more/mehr
