Kimmo Pohjonen: Break out and dive into music
What a horrible mistake! After declaring here that accordion doesn´t rock, STALKER had to discover that this is not quite true. Even this instrument rocks – when in the hands of Kimmo Pohjonen. If you know the soundtrack of the Finnish movie “Jadesoturi” (“Jade Warrior”) you surely agree, otherwise watch this clip here. This quite talkative Finnish music pioneer revealed to STALKER why adapting and expanding the possibilities of this “most uncool instrument ever” was such a pain-in-the-ass, that music is no sport issue, and what´s the attraction of a dress that resembles a vagina... >> more/mehr

Kings of Modesty – Ready to Rock
Many of you might already know these guys from Finland, if not with their band Kings of Modesty then with one of their other bands like Brother Firetribe or Ancara. The band is currently planning to release their debut album so it´s the right time to introduce you to those charming guys and whet your appetite for a rocking album coming in 2009. One thing´s for sure, after reading this interview with singer Jason Flinck (bassist of Brother Firetribe) waiting for more stuff from this great band will be real pain. >> more/mehr

Kings of Modesty – Finnish drinking habits and a cooked drummer
Kings of Modesty released their debut record “Hell and Highwaters” just a few days before we met the friendly band at their gig in Switzerland, during their tour with Tarja Turunen. The guys were very excited about it and updated us with everything that happened since our last interview in October 2008 when the band talked about their plans for the debut album. Now one year later the first official tour is almost done and the future plans just sound like this band is on the best way to become another top act from the cold north. With a bottle of Swiss Kirsch Snaps we go to the Z7 club to meet the guys. >> more/mehr

Kissin´ Dynamite: Mission Stadionrock
The Swabian Sleaze Rockers Kissin´ Dynamite are for many THE big hopefuls in the Hard´n´Heavy scene. The young band has just released their third album „Money, Sex & Power“ that insiders see as a chance for a big breakthrough or even reaching the Major League. After all, those guys were just teenagers (about 16) back then in 2008 when they released their debut „Steel Of Swabia“. STALKER managed to get hold of vocalist Hannes and guitarist Jim to find out more … >> more/mehr

Knightmare: Uukulele for the birds
One does not simply give a 10/10 in reviews… but recently there was this other Australian band that blew me away with their first full length album “In Death’s Shadow” ( review here ) - Knightmare from Melbourne. The line-up consists of the founding members “MICKoWAR” Mick Simpson (voc) and Luke Besley (git) and the “fresh blood” Jim Munro (git) and Matt McConaghy (bass). Find out which music, landmarks or (liquid) delicacies Luke can recommend, and why he was breaking into a sweat when answering our questions ... >> more/mehr
