The Baseballs: Overnight Sensation?
The King lives – and in 3 incarnations. The Baseballs bring back the good old Rock´n´Roll, or as they call it, Voc´n´Roll, to European record players. Sam, Digger and Basti had their breakthrough with their „Umbrella“ cover version and have women´s hearts melt away at their concerts. We met those charming guys in Pratteln (CH) and talked with them about their sudden success.
(Digger could not attend the interview in the beginning, he had to make some preparations on stage). >> more/mehr

The Black Dahlia Murder: Just dirty
With their brilliant, new album Nocturnal the five guys from Michigan are back again. Better and more brutal than ever before the guys will be touring Europe with their melodic death metal paired with terrifyingly great vocals with none less than Job For A Cowboy and The Red Chord in November/ December (see STALKER tourdates). Find out in the interview with guitarist and songwriter Brian Eschbach everything you always wanted to know about masturbating grandfathers, rectal bleedings and the new album of The Black Dahlia Murder. >> more/mehr

The Blanko: Trust the inner voice
The three extremely talented guys that form the Helsinki based band The Blanko are living exciting times at the moment. The band´s second album Into The Silence has just come out and I had a few words with Pauli Hauta-aho, the guitarist & vocalist of the band. He got my questions about a week before the album release party in Helsinki (read our report ) and he confessed that he felt excited about it all, but as it turned out, he was also being super busy with promoting the album. As can only be expected.

However, in the end he had plenty of time to sit down and write answers to my questions. We had a nice and rather long email discussion about the philosophy behind The Blanko and the various aspects of making their second album. >> more/mehr

The Chant: ”Tragedies have never gone out of style”
For more than a decade, The Chant have not quite tried to compete for the central spot in the limelight with the Lady Gagas of this world. Instead, like a secret natural fountain in some enchanted wood, those 7 Finns have behaved with discretion, remaining a standing and steady source of excellent (naturally melancholic) music. It seems with their third album A Healing Place ( STALKER review ) they finally receive some more recognition outside their home country. Vocalist Ilpo Paasela tells us more... >> more/mehr

The Dillinger Escape Plan: Oh cool, I´m bleeding again!
For more than 10 years the pionieers of mathcore are already around. Last year they released the critically acclaimed „Ire Works“ and right now the guys are on tour in Europe and the US. After a sweat-inducing gig, which surely left some lasting impressions with fans and band, singer Greg Puciato still has some time to chat with STALKER about life on tour, „Ire Works“ and hardcore in general. >> more/mehr
