In 70 minutes playing time there are 8 songs including the 5-part opus “Cityshamaani”. In the last, let´s say, 1000 years the west has developed some kind of musical culture. Part of this is the standard of having compositions with elements like verse or chorus. This idea was developed by someone quite some time ago, and most people liked it at once, so this basic structure still exists today.
If you take a look at the line up of Wardruna, you might think that this is a new Black Metal supergroup, like Gorgoroth pt. 2. Gaahl (current member) and Einar Kvitrafn Selvik (former member) are both part of this project.
But his project has so much to do with Black Metal as FC Bayern München with fairplay.
