Ensiferum - Netta Skog: “Now I´m a musician and a baker!”
Netta Skog is probably mostly known due to her playing the accordion with Finnish „Battle Metal“ band TURISAS. She had left the band years ago and now is focusing on her own music and education, but is replacing ENSIFERUM´s Emmi Silvennoinen on the “One Man Army“ European tour this spring (which will continue in the US and Canada in May, check the band website for tour dates).
I used the chance of having her in town to sit down with her in the tour bus, asking her about her life after Turisas and the tour with Ensiferum. >> more/mehr

NOTHING MORE: “It´s every kid´s dream to make their dad proud”
Bassist Daniel and guitarist Mark of NOTHING MORE sat down with me in their cozy tourbus to have a chat about their band and the current tour with headliner HALESTORM, as soundcheck was going on in the venue and the backstage area had been too crowded.
Having not really known the band before, I did not only find my love for their music on this day, but also learned to enjoy the humor and kindness of the people behind this music. >> more/mehr

Jim Kroft: “Most of the tools I have developed have been from necessity.”
I met Jim Kroft for the first time in the spring of 2012 when he was supporting Martin and James on their tour. I can remember not being much impressed at first, but during the tour he managed to slowly but surely play his way into my heart. In the end I was hooked on the energy and passion he brings to stage, no matter if he’s playing solo or with a band and I still am. His songs are ranging from quiet to stirring, the lyrics are often snapshots of emotions everyone can relate to and give you something to think about. It made me happy that he took the time for an interview between traveling and playing concerts in Africa and touring with Jaimi Faulkner. >> more/mehr

Tanzwut: Cooking, baking, drinking mead - everything!
In Extremo, Corvus Corax and Tanzwut are among the gods of the medieval Rock arena, Tanzwut being simultaneously also funny and weird. Those «Crazy Germans» gave once again a fierce dance lesson in St. Petersburg! Shortly before this show, we could ask Teufel and Stefan a few questions. >> more/mehr
