Unbelievable! For almost 20 years, the band fronted by Piet Sielck paints the rock´n´roll town red. Although major commercial breakthrough wasn´t granted to them, they still managed to release 8 studio albums. Now the guys from Hamburg release their first live DVD ever, recorded, of course, in their hometown.
The setlist does not leave much to be desired: a short intro opens the concert before 16 songs, from the band´s entire career, follow, including one medley and a cover of Judas Priest´s “Breaking the Law”. Well, the last one is pretty close to the original version but the tight performance combined with Piet´s rough vocals give it a hard vibe. Also the rest is well done: The sound is quite rough and powerful and the capricious announcements make it feel authentic.
All in all, “Live at the Final Frontier” is a nice way to spend your money and, in case you are a friend of German Metal and did not yet have the chance, get an overview of the band´s work.
(Note: This review deals only with the audio material, not the DVD)
