The first LakeSound Festival took place at Edersee, two stages housed high-quality bands of different genres, for example Saturday´s headliner Tito & Tarantula. On Friday the headliners Die Happy entertained thousands of fans who partied until the early morning hours. More festival impressions in our

Die Happy opened their own festival season at Edersee, presenting songs from the new album „Everlove“ as well as older hits from their 20 years of band history. Front lady Marta Jandová has matured, also because she had a child last year and proudly presented photos of her daugther Marie. The new hit “I could die happy” was written for her. The band definitely still kicks ass with a hyperactive front lady, whereas guitarist and co-founder Thorsten Mewes rather stays calm. The audience got excited with new songs like “Hypnotized”, “Too fast”, “Hang on” as well as older ones like “Not the kind of Girl” or “Big Boy”.

More acts like Moop Mama, Alexander Marcus, Grossstadtgeflüster, Tobias Regner, Boppin B., Mozes and the firstborn, droox, 3satt and Suddenly Human entertained the festival audience.

It was difficult for Kissin`Dynamite, because their slot took place exactly during the second half of the soccer WC Germany vs. Argentina. Still their Sleaze Rock attracted the masses and hundreds in the pit joined the party, ignoring those dark clouds.

Fiddlers Green had a better slot after the game (which Germany won), their Folk Rock sound was exactly the right sound for fans who wanted to celebrate. The two stages were played alternately, therefore the program flow was not interrupted by stage-change intervals. A great event for this region!

The jolly party mood continued on the second day, and in the evening Russkaja from Vienna rocked the Brauser-Bühne with their “Russian Turbo-Polka” and made the audience dance. A lot of sing-along happened during the show of Tobias Regner, and also the Headliners Tito and Tarantula delivered a highly emotional program.

Mambo Kurt entertained the crowd with his 80s hit mix played on an old home organ, and later Großstadtgeflüster with Electro Punk.

All in all a very positive resume for the first LakeSoundFestival, presented by „Brauser magazine” and „Radio Bob“. The huge metal globe among the merch stands puzzled people, but on Saturday its purpose became clear: two motorbikers presented their breathtaking stunt show, and later even a 3 year old motor biker showed his talent in this very globe. Amazing! The culinary standard was remarkable, and „Café Zündstoff“ has to be mentioned here, not only for excellent meals for moderate fees, but also for their great wervice team. A festival franchise that should be continued!
