Five years have gone by with Human Fortress being off the scene, but now they are back with their third long player. The break was obviously good for them, because what you can hear is one of the best Melodic Metal outputs in recent years. And even after listening to it several times it sounds appealing, and even more. Weak songs? Something boring? No way! Here you get a collection of hits. The musical variety of Human Fortress is also extremely wide: From Kitsch Metal a la Freedom Call (`Falling Leaves`, `The Wizard`), via Brainstorm-like Power Metal (`Contrast`, `Circle of Flames`) to US-steel (`The Raven`) you will indeed get all kinds of melodic Metal. Especially convincing are those choirs and very differentiated vocals. Extremely well done!
