Make way for a progressive Rockband from South Africa! The quarter from Kapstadt presents themselves on their latest record “Between 2wo Worlds” melodic and slightly progressive but hardly less rocking.
Therefore not only the songwriting and skillful playing, but also the acceptable production is remarkable, which again manages to avoid a cheesy sound. But the real strength of MACSTANLEY is shown when they play more silent and experimental parts. “As I Am” has beautiful melodies and the voice adulates the ear until the drums start. This concept works well. About the catchy “Summer On Its Way” I could say mostly the same. There is nowhere a mistake to be found, one song is better than the other. No matter how you call it, it is simply well made.
