Well, the guys from Hamburg call themselves NOBELPENNER. My expectations for the album “Meinten Sie Nibbelpeter”were accordingly high but they were that decent not to call themselves kings.
I was curious. Well then disillusion came… The album is not bad for sure, but it is not as good as said in the bands info-box. The music is without a doubt melodramatic pop but self-contained?
Not really! The songs are OK, the production is good and technically everything is alright. But really ass-kicking songs are not to find at “Meinten Sie Nibbelpeter”. They have a lack of feeling that is needed to write catchy songs so none of the songs will remain in your ear.
That’s a thing they should get working on. To reach the top you have to show more than this.
