If you take a closer look at the line up of Manufacturer`s Pride, you quickly recorgnize that they are playing with two synthies, but only one guitar. This is a fact that you can really hear in the sound of the sextet. Dark synthies and ambiences, combined with heavy guitar riffs create an atmosphere full of coldness, desperation and aggression. An apocalyptic atmosphere that reminds of movies like Matrix or Terminator.
But the biggest plus is also the biggest minus of Manufacturer`s Pride. The omnipresent sythies are sticky like glue and they are killing all details in the guitar sounds (or aren`t there any details?) and with the advancing playing time, it becomes even more difficult to separate the songs. Sometimes less is even more!
As bonus, there comes a nice DVD along with the album. It contains a 40-minute live set (including new songs), two clips and a making of. For friends of Darkness this one could bet he right thing.
