RAY WILSON, a man about who is nothing left to say. He is surely a remarkable singer and songwriter. Never getting tired he gives us one strong album after another. As well as the former albums the latest record is not Hardrock in a usual way but mixed up with a little bit of Soul sometimes. This is good shown with the opener “bless me”. My first association was Bob Dylan but it changed quickly. The Title-Track “Propaganda Man” is a chill-out song that may get lost in the first listening. There repetition is useful here. If you want it more rock-sounding, well take a look at “Cosmic Baby”. Paradox is that the injection of fun is given by the songs “Frequency” and “Razorlite”.
Not an easy album for sure and it may not catch you at first sight. But here you will not be disappointed by spending a bit of time for one or two more listening.
