For many years the German band Eigensinn have made their mark with impressive live-shows, now they give us their debut album „Die Wahrheit“. It took them four years to finish it, and it was worth taking so much time. The music, a good mix of Gothic, Metal and Alternative Rock, stands out with remarkable riffs and powerful drums. Sometimes hard, sometimes slower and more emotional. Their German lyrics deal with provocative topics everybody could relate to, as you will be confronted with those questions once in a while. And this is combined with the versatile voice of female singer Nemesis, who can be emotional, but also aggressive and provocative and adds intensity to those songs. One of the best is „Tränen Aus Blut“, describing the pain and the anger that you feel when you lose a beloved person- you couldn´t do it any better. Catchy refrains have you sing along, so basically this is one of those CDs you should have in your collection.
