Wow, what a record! As far as I know this is the first album Scar Symmetry have made and it is excellent! Hard, varied and inventive, what ore can you ask for? It's very difficult to put a label on these guys, but that's exactly what makes them so interesting. Death metal? The foundation of it. Thrash? A little bit. Heavy metal? Yes, also. Folk? In the background. Instead of continuing my attempt to place them in a category, I would much rather warmly recommend you to give this album a try yourself. However, be careful you don't break anything, because I guarantee you'll have a banging session. I'm already looking forward to the next album.
